Blood Red mica colorant is a bold and intense color that's a bit extravagant in price but makes up for it in its rich color as it's the closest true red we've found. This mica can be used for coloring soap and cosmetics such as nail polish, lip balm, and eye shadow. (It's also used in epoxy, resin art, coatings, plastics, inks, etc.) Mica looks best in clear soap, but will produce muted shades in opaque soap. Our Extra Bold micas are made with Fluorphlogopite, a synthetic mica that results in a more intense finish. Some of the pictures show this mica color in clear MP soap, which took just a very small amount to achieve the shown color.
